KINGS of MACEDON. Philip II. 359-336 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 14.40 g, 1h). Pella mint. Struck circa 342/1-337/6 BC. Head of Zeus right, wearing laurel wreath / ΦIΛIΠ-ΠOY, nude youth, holding palm frond in right hand, rein in left, on horseback right; thunderbolt below, N in exergue. Le Rider Group II.A.2, 278 (D154/R220); SNG ANS 277 (same rev. die); Pozzi 848 (same rev. die). Deep cabinet tone, with slight iridescence, thin die break on obverse, a few light marks on reverse. Near EF.
