MYSIA, Kyzikos. Circa 550-450 BC. EL Stater (19mm, 15.82 g). Facing head of Silenos, protruding tongue; at sides, two tunnies upward / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Von Fritze I 77 (unlisted denomination); cf. Greenwell 45 (same); M.J. Price, "1. A Field in Western Thrace" in CH II, 2; otherwise unpublished in the standard references as a stater. A couple of minor edge splits. VF. Very rare.
