George II (1727-60), Carlisle Re-captured, 1745, AE Medal, by Pingo, cuirassed bust of the Duke of Cumberland right, rev. lion subdues a wolf, date in exergue, a small C incuse on edge, 33 mm, 18.61 g (Eimer 600; Mi II, 607/265), a couple of thin die cracks on reverse, otherwise much as struck and with hints of lustre around the devices.
