GREAT BRITAIN. Ryal, ND (1466-67). London Mint; im: Crown. Edward IV. PCGS AU-55 Gold Shield.
S-1951; Fr-132; N-1549. Weight: 7.65 gms. Obverse: King standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield; on banner at stern, "E"; on side of hull, rose; trefoil stops. Reverse: Rose on sun in center of ornate cross with lis at ends; in quarters, crowned lions; small trefoils in spandrels. A boldly struck example on a somewhat compact flan with nearly complete legends save for a few minor portions of the tops of some of the letters off the planchet; this attractive and original looking survivor displays light signs of handling consistent for the grade exhibiting lovely sunset hued tone coupled with pale gold color atop of the devices. Quite a wholesome representative of the type sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $2000.00- $3000.00
