GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1818. London Mint. George III. PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield.
S-3787; Dav-103; KM-675. LVIII on edge. A sharply struck, bright and lustrous survivor exhibiting smooth brilliant surfaces with nice cartwheel luster over satiny surfaces, a couple of minor abrasions in the fields are noticed and what you would expect from the assigned grade hardly worth mentioning. The intricate frosty devices baring the expressive portrait of the monarch and St. George are accentuated by the blast white fields. A lovely survivor of the type with plenty of flash sure to catch the attention of many collectors and worthy of a premium bid.
From the Trident Collection.
