RUSSIA. Coronation of Alexander II Silver Medal, 1856. PCGS Genuine--Devices Outlined, Unc Details Gold Shield.
Dia-653.1. Diameter: 65mm. By A. Lyalin & M. Kuchkin. Obverse: Bare head right; Reverse: Crowned imperial double eagle facing, with coat-of-arms on breast, garlanded crown above, and holding scepter and orb. A RARE and alluring type, this large, attractively toned issue features strong hues of cobalt and burgundy, though the noted details designation emanates from some unfortunate outlining applied by a careless handler over the years. Nevertheless, a solid example of a difficult type in silver.
Estimate: $1000.00- $2000.00
