COSTA RICA. 10 Pesos, 1870-GW. San Jose Mint. NGC MS-62.
KM-115. Mintage: 20,000. Fully Mint State with strong luster residing in the fields and delightful detail appearing in the designs. Evidence of striking from clashed dies appears on the reverse, with ghosting from the obverse shield appearing beneath the denomination and surrounding fields. Equal in grade, but perhaps exceeding the Lissner Collection example (also graded MS-62) in terms of overall quality and eye-appeal.
