This interesting type features an appropriate blend of the past and the present, as it displays the jugate busts of the conquistador Pedro de Alvarado, conquering much of what is now Central America for Spain, and current President Alfonso Quinonez Molina, ruling El Salvador with an autocratic flair. Both men, though successful in their earlier careers as a solider and physician, respectively, treated their roles in power differently, and have since each garnered a rather negative view from their time in command.
