MEXICO. 20 Pesos, 1902-Cn Q. Culiacan Mint. NGC MS-63 Prooflike.
KM-414.2; Fr-122. Mintage: 1,059. An absolute showpiece for the type, this coin exhibits a full strike with gleaming prooflike reflectivity in the fields and rich amber-gold tone throughout that serves to embolden the appearance even further. Quite literally, the most mesmerizing example of this issue that we have seen, with no contact marks that serve as a detriment to the eye and only a few wispy instances of well-disguised handling that contribute to the grade. Unsurprisingly, this coin is unparalleled in the population reports, it being not only the sole MS-63 graded by NGC, but also the only example to earn the "PL" designation. Even with these elite grading distinctions, a coin whose grade still fails to capture the magnitude of the its quality and overall eye-appeal.
