PERU. 8 Escudos, 1824-Co G. Cuzco Mint. Ferdinand VII. NGC MS-61.
KM-129.2; Onza-1201 ("rara"). One-year type. A choice survivor of this incredibly popular type that retains bold, frosty luster in the fields and surfaces that show almost no evidence of abrasive contact. While quite common for the issue, a few imbedded laminations within the reverse are worthy of notation. On the whole, seemingly superior to the only other MS-61 seen, which appeared on the market in 2019 and hammered at $8,500. That piece, while slightly sharper in the centers, displays two sizable metal flaws on Ferdinand VII's face that significantly impact its appearance.

From the Oro del Nuevo Mundo Collection.

Estimate: $5000.00- $7000.00
