BOLIVIA. 8 Reales, 1774-PTS JR. Potosi Mint. Charles III. NGC MS-64.
KM-55. Exceptionally stunning and quite robust, this hoard coin presents a strength in portraiture not often encountered, with sharp contrast in the relief of the forehead and nose, intricate hair and laurel detail, and a cuirass which seemingly comes alive. Some shimmering brilliance radiates when cradled back and forth, while some hints of champagne and magenta further its character. Mentioned only for completeness, a minor planchet defect is observed before the "DEI" in the obverse legend.
Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
