MEXICO. 4 Escudos, 1759-Mo MM. Mexico City Mint. Ferdinand VI. NGC AU Details--Obverse Scratched.
Fr-22; KM-139; Cal-Type 115 # 716; Cayon-10835; Grove-1136. A highly attractive and seldom encountered two year type exhibiting a bold even strike with well defined design features displaying lovely rich sunset hued patina radiating from the devices and accenting the crevasses. As indicated from the NGC insert, several small unobtrusive light scratches behind the bust become apparent once tilted in the light mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Despite its shortcomings a very handsome representative of the type offering much originality and that clearly sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed. Its eye catching appearance is indicative of proper care and storage displaying quite a pleasing appearance certain to draw much attention from collectors.

From the Las Colinas Collection.

Estimate: $2000.00- $3000.00
