JAMAICA. Jamaica - Mexico. 3 Shillings 4 Pence (4 Reales - Half Dollar), ND (1758). NGC VG-10.
KM-7; Prid-5. Issued by local act of 18 November 1758. Bifacial countermark: ornate G.R. within circular incuse; all on a 1758-Mo MM Mexico pillar 4 Reales of Ferdinand VI (KM-95). The RAREST denomination from the series, this well handled piece presents clear countermarks overall as well as pleasing deep gunmetal gray surfaces. A difficult example and one which should generate a great deal of interest for the collector of the Jamaican countermark issues.

Estimate: $700.00- $1000.00
