AZORES. Banco de Portugal. 10 Mil Reis Ouro, 30.1.1905. P-10. PCGS Currency Very Fine 25.
A highly scarce note which is likely missing from even the most advanced collections. The note shares the same design as the 10 Mil Reis Portugal issue, but shows in a lovely blue hue. Design of bare-chested allegorical women at bottom center on each side of the globe design, and a God in a chariot is found at top right being pulled by four horses. Three ships seen in the main design, with Luis de Camoes at right. Nice detail and mostly even circulation are seen which helps this note rival any other issued example we have seen for the type as most are found in completely abysmal condition.
