CANADA. Dominion of Canada. 5 Dollars, 1924. DC-27. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45.
An appealing mid-grade note which is a piece likely missing from many collections. While the date shows 1924, it wasn't printed until 1931. Furthermore, the small quantity printed of 2,000,000 was not released until 1934 and roughly a third of that number actually entered circulation. Being released in 1934 made this a very short lived series as the 1935 Bank of Canada issues started to circulate with intentions of replacing the Dominion notes of old. Interestingly the engraved calendar date of May 26th coincides with Queen Mary's birthday. Brilliant blue inks make up the underprints and defined black inks make up the primary design. Scarce, and surely missing from most Canadian collections, and we expect to see spirited bidding on this note.

Estimate: $7000.00- $9000.00
