Br-1365. Medal engraved by Andrieu and Brenet. Struck to commemorate the surrender of Paris. Obverse: Laureate head of Napoleon facing right; Reverse: Fortune stands facing left from behind on sailing ship. A sharply struck medal with edges designed to convey the crudeness of an ancient hammered coin. The surfaces are glossy, smooth, and free of marks, with a dark chocolate brown patina throughout.
