Canada Bank of Canada $5 2.1.1937 Pick 60a BC-23a PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. The pleasing blue $5 dated 1937 has three signature varieties, with this first variety, Osborne / Towers, being the rarest by far. In fact, no Choice Uncirculated examples have been sold in any major auction. At the time of cataloging, only three examples grade Choice Uncirculated in the PMG Population Report, with none grading finer. Interestingly, 8,824,500 notes were printed with these two signatures, and this note is near the end of the range, featuring serial number 8,209,073. This variety is infinitely more scarce than the two subsequent varieties. It is quite uncommon to find one in the best of grades. An important Canadian type in top grade, and a desirable British Commonwealth type as well, featuring the portrait of King George VI. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/canada-bank-of-canada-5-211937-pick-60a-bc-23a-pmg-choice-uncirculated-64-epq/p/4028-55001.s?type=CoinArchivesCurrency4028 HID08706262019 © 2020 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
