Canada Charlotte Town, PEI- Bank of Prince Edward Island $1 1.1.1877 Pick S1929c Ch.# 600-12-04 PMG Uncirculated 62 EPQ. This bank was the first established under provincial charter on Prince Edward Island, and flourished until the defalcations of a new cashier were exposed in 1876. The bank became insolvent as a result and closed in 1881. This lovely example is offered in a desirable grade with the Exceptional Paper Quality designation.
