Lebanon Banque de Syrie et du Liban 50 Livres 1939 Pick 19s Specimen PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. The 1939 First Series, printed by the Bank of France, is chock full of rare types. In fact, only the 1 & 5 Livres are occasionally encountered. This 50 Livres is the second highest denomination of the series, and is very rare in any grade, across all formats. No issued examples have been sold publicly according to auction records, and only two Specimen have been sold in the past decade. At the time of cataloging, this Specimen is tied atop the PMG Population Report, with only four notes submitted. Solid zero serial numbers and a perforated cancellation are seen. A key date and an extremely scarce type, especially in top grade.
