[P] C L VALERIANVS NOB CAES, bareheaded and draped bust right / PIETAS AVGVSTOR, S C in exergue, emblems of the pontificate: lituus, secespita, patera, guttus, simpulum, and aspergillum. RIC V 33 corr. (rev. legend); MIR 36, 249p; Banti 6 corr. (same). Green patina. Near VF. Very rare. Only the second example we have handled (the other: CNG E-442, lot 106 (hammer $2300).
