EDWARD · II · KING · OF ENGLAND FRANCE & IRELAND, crowned and mantled bust facing slightly left; lis-tipped scepter to left / Garnished coat-of-arms. Cf. Mitchiner, Jetons p. 1675, 12 and 4856 (for different piece of Edward II). Toned. Good VF. Exquisitely engraved.

This well-made gaming piece appears to be related to the van der Passe school's "Sovereigns of England" series. However, the piece illustrated by Mitchiner is significantly different, including varying legends and coat-of-arms.
