Venice. Giovanni Corner II Ducatone ND (1709-1710)-FAP MS66★ NGC, KM476, Dav-1531, Paolucci-118.21. 27.58gm. An exceedingly attractive example of the type well-warranting of its covetable 'star' designation, a combination of glossy surfaces and accenting russet tones producing an overall eye appeal that is clearly far above the norm. While light doubling to the strike does exist, as is usual for the issue, this does nothing to impinge on the legibility of the legends or the intelligibility of the designs.
