A formidable gem example of this 1820s restrike issue, believed to have been produced by Matthew Young in the 1820s using original dies. Nearly Prooflike in the fields, which reveal underlying reflectivity against a current of steel and lilac tone. Meticulously cared for since its production nearly 200 years ago, hardly a mark to be seen across the sleek, argent surfaces.
