Frederick I Riksdaler 1721 MS66 NGC, Stockholm mint, KM389.2, Dav-1719, AAH-58b. Mintage: 4,000. Variety without signature. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of Gustav Vasa's liberation war and the dissolution of the Kalmar Union. An instantly gratifying commemorative for perhaps one of the most important events in early modern Swedish history, featuring an especially heraldic depiction of King Frederick I flanked on all sides by profuse die polish lines. The surfaces themselves appear astonishingly icy, a mottling of caramel iridescence gripping the legends and providing an antique finish to this specimen which otherwise could have been struck yesterday.
