SICILY. Syracuse. Ca. 405-400 BC. AR tetradrachm (28mm, 17.10 gm, 3h). NGC XF 5/5 - 5/5, Fine Style. Unsigned dies by Kimon, ca. 400 BC. Charioteer driving unruly galloping quadriga left, kentron in right hand, reins in both hands; Nike flying right above to crown charioteer; dolphin swimming left in exergue / ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩ, head of Arethusa left, wearing single-pendant earring and necklace, hair restrained with an ampyx and at back of head in an open weave saccos; surrounded by four dolphins swimming.
