MACEDON. Acanthus. Ca. 470-430 BC. AR tetradrachm (28mm, 16.88 gm, 3h). NGC MS 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style. Attic standard. Lion springing right, long curved tail downward, biting into hind quarters of bull kneeling to left with head raised, raised tetraskelion on flank; tunny fish left below, thick beaded border, no exergual line / ΑΚΑ-Ν-ΘΙΟ-Ν, legend in raised letters on incuse band, around raised quadripartite square, all within shallow incuse square.
