Franz Joseph I gold Proof 100 Corona 1908 PR64 Cameo NGC, Kremnitz mint, KM2812, Fr-514. A formidable Proof offering of this iconic "Lady in the Clouds" type, produced for the 60th anniversary of Franz Joseph I's reign. Shimmering reflectivity pervades across the surfaces of the specimen, with a crisp cameo contrast achieved between these and the near-medallic devices rising in towering fashion over the mirrored fields. Only the most inconsequential and minor marks are visible over the surfaces, the presence of fine hairlines in the fields serving as the only real limit to much higher technical certification. Of those examples awarded with a Cameo designation by NGC (just a single PR62 has received the Ultra Cameo designation), only one PR65 certifies more highly. Accordingly, we expect this praiseworthy specimen to see fervent bidding action.
