Great Britain
George I gold "Prince Elector" Guinea 1714 MS61 PCGS, KM538, S-3628, Schneider-544. Dubbed the 'Prince Elector' type for its inclusion of PR. EL. at the end of the King's titles to denote his status as Elector of the Holy Roman Empire. Highly appealing for both the type and the assigned grade, blooming golden luster emitted throughout the entirety of the fields, these revealing trivial hairline marks, though no larger instances of any consequence whatsoever. The strike, firm and well-centered, has produced a striking portrayal of George I, standing in bold relief over the planchet, great detail expressed across his curls and rounded facial features. A fine silver patina adds a sense of age to the piece, all while doing nothing to obscure the lustrous display of this splendid Mint State specimen.
