MYSIA. Cyzicus. Ca. 450-350 BC. EL sixth-stater or hecte (11mm, 2.60 gm). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 3/5, Fine Style. Zeus, draped, kneeling right, scepter in right hand, eagle preparing to take flight from extended left hand; tunny right below / Quadripartite mill-sail incuse pattern with stippled interior surfaces. Greenwell -, cf. 2 (pl. I, 2, stater) von Fritze –, cf. 145 (stater). SNG France 5 –, cf. 296 (stater). Boston –, cf. 1530 (stater). Very rare. Well struck from dies of fine style on lustrous flan.
