Philip V gold Cob 2 Escudos 1728-S XF40 NGC, Santa Fe (de Bogota) mint, KM17.2, Cal-383, Restrepo-M80.8 (only listed as overdate). An appealing circulated example of this scarce issue showcasing glossy areas of rub at the higher points with ample detail preserved in the recessed areas and essentially ideal centering. Intriguing as a one-year type that saw only the last three digits of the date used immediately after the word REX in the reverse legend, which remain quite clear on the current representative.
