Louis XIV gold Louis d'Or 1694-K AU53 NGC, Bordeaux mint, KM302.11, Gad-252. A rare emission from the Bordeaux mint revealing a centrally positioned strike with traces of luster visible over golden surfaces. Though attributed to 1694 by NGC it seems difficult to describe the date with any certainty, the last digit of the date being largely blundered as a consequence of overstriking on an earlier issue.
