Saxe-Gotha. Johann Friedrich I, the Magnanimous & Philip I, the Magnanimous Taler 1545 MS62 NGC, Goslar mint, Dav-9740, Schnee-131. Exceptionally preserved for the type, the surfaces shimmering with argent luster to confirm a wholly Mint State preservation that is only heightened in appeal by the presence of soft amber toning highlights decorating the obverse and reverse design motifs, these set against light touches blue iridescence. The strike is generally bold for the issue, the central features well-expressed and framed by legends showing only isolated areas of weakness.
