Great Britain
James I gold Laurel ND (1623-1624) AU58 NGC, Tower mint, Lis mm, Third Coinage, KM75, S-2638C, N-2114. 8.95gm. (lis) IACOBVS D: G: MAG: BRI: FRA: ET HIB: REX, fourth laureate bust of James I left, XX (denomination) behind / FACIA | M EOS IN | GENTEM | VNVM (lis), crowned royal shield with long cross dividing the flan into four quadrants. Not at all a common piece on the cusp of Mint State certification, the mild doubling which exists of the strike fortunately keeping from blurring the central features, leaving an appreciable bust of James and nearly uncirculated details on the reverse.
