William IV gold 1/2 Sovereign 1835 MS64 PCGS, KM722, S-3831. A type which in general appears with far less regularity than its larger, full-sovereign counterparts, and one which in general is rather unappreciated until it reaches such stellar quality as is seen here. Expressing brilliant satin luster across nearly the fullness of the surfaces, even the most scrupulous observers will note that the specimen could nearly be seen in a gem holder.
