Gorinchem. City gold Imitative Rose Noble ND (1583-1591) MS63 NGC, Gorinchem mint, Fr-80, S-1952, Scheinder-871. 7.57gm. Struck in imitation of the gold Ryal (Rose Noble) coinage of Edward IV. Not a type that occurs frequently in Mint State at all, the few hints of waviness that are present doing nothing to obscure the designs or reduce the legibility of the legends. We have sole only one graded finer, an MS64, which contained considerably more prevalent areas of flatness.
