CHINA: AE charm (23.65g), CCH-1776, 47mm, Lei Ling Shan Gui "27-character Daoist curse charm", léi tíng (léi tíng) sha gui xiáng jing / zhan yao bì / xié yong bao / shen qing fèng / tài shàng lao jun jí (jí) rú lü lìng chì which translates as "O God of Thunder (Lei), kill the ghosts and subdue the spirits, behead the demons and ward off evil, forever preserve mental clarity; Let this command from Lao Zi be executed quickly" // eight bagua trigrams with inscription qián kan gèn zhèn xùn lí kun duì around., VF. These talismans were popular during the Qing dynasty. After the blessing of a Daoist priest, they could be kept at home or carried around to ward off evil. Likely cast in the late Qing dynasty.
