THAILAND: debased AR tok (68.60g), 17-19th century, Krisadaolarn & Mihailovs-B01, Semans-642, primitive debased silver issue from the region of Nan in northern Thailand, average 35-45% silver, the rest mostly copper and some lead, a lovely example, VF-EF. The yellow and red stains are said to come from light gold leaf, though traditionally, and probably incorrectly, assigned to a mix of egg yolk and chicken blood.
