One of the most amazing private mints of modern times, the Gallery Mint was located in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It was created by Master Engraver Ron Landis and his partner, Joe Rust. The Mint operated from 1992 until 2007 and produced some spectacular replicas of United States early coinage with the mission statement, "to establish a museum that would preserve the history, craftsmanship and artifacts associated with the minting of coins and printing of paper money."
