IONIA, Ephesos. Phanes. Circa 625-600 BC. EL Myshemihekte – Twenty-fourth Stater (7mm, 0.57 g). Forepart of stag left, head reverted, its dappled coat indicated by indentations on the body / Incuse square with raised intersecting lines within. Fischer-Bossert, Phanes 37 (O15/R37T); Konuk & Lorber Fig. 19; SNG Kayhan 1219 var. (pellets on obv.). VF. Very rare without pellets on obverse, Fischer-Bossert notes only 8 examples.
