IONIA, Uncertain. Circa 600-550 BC. EL Hekte – Sixth Stater (10mm, 2.13 g). Lydo-Milesian standard. Two conjoined, stylized serpents'(?) heads, with open jaws and lolling tongues / Single divided punch with volute design. Cf. Triton VI, lot 388; cf. Gorny & Mosch 115, lot 1171; cf. CNG E-311, lot 761; otherwise unpublished in the standard references. Rusted dies. VF.
