EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Drachm (32mm, 22.75 g, 12h). Dated RY 17 (AD 132/133). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Serapis, holding scepter and raising hand, standing right, facing Hadrian standing left, resting hand on stele inscribed AΔP/IAN/ON in three lines; all within distyle temple, pediment decorated with disk; [L] IZ (date) to either side of temple. Köln 1085-6 var. (placement of date); Dattari (Savio) 1945; K&G 32.553; RPC III 5844; Emmett 1042.17. Dark green and brown patina, old collection number in ink on reverse above stele(940?), ragged flan edge. Near VF.
