British Medals, Victoria (1837-1901), Diamond Jubilee 1897, official medal, copper, by G. W. de Saulles, veiled, crowned bust left, rev. young head left, 55.5mm. (BHM.3506; Eimer 1817); Edward VII, Coronation 1902, official medals (2), richly gilt-bronze and bronze (2), by G. W. de Saulles, crowned busts of Edward VII and Queen Alexandra right, to either side, 55.5mm. (BHM.3737; Eimer 1871); George V, Coronation 1911, official medal, bronze, by Bertram Mackennal, crowned busts left, either side, 51mm. (BHM.4022; Eimer 1922); Jubilee 1935, official small silver medal with bronze variety for South Africa, first three in cases, all extremely fine though the gilt medal side-pierced at top causing some swelling (7)
The gilt medal is of superior quality and would seem to have been struck on a gilt blank rather than being gilt after striking.
