British Medals, Sir Edward William Elgar Bt, OM, GCVO (1857–1934), bronze portrait medal, 1923, by Henry Edmunds, using his Cameograph process, 38mm., extremely fine
Ex Baldwin's vault
Much has been written about the Cameograph process, however no full list of medals made seems to have been published. The cataloguers have been unable to confirm conclusively the identity of the sitter, but given the sitter's generous moustache and the fact that only notables sat for Edmunds' Cameograph, Elgar is a likely identification.
