Obv: King's portrait facing left. Rev: The Canada coats of arms (as given by Queen Victoria) on top of two crossed maple branches. The shield is split in 4 parts, showing the coats of arms of the 4 provinces that created the Canada. Date in exergue below. Lettered value below the date.
