SICILY. Akragas. Circa 415-406 B.C. Æ Tetras – Trionkion. 10.24 gm. 23 mm. Eagle, wings raised, facing right, and standing on and tearing at dead hare; AKPA to left / Crab above three pellets (mark of value) and a crayfish. Westermark, Coinage, 836-837. CNS I, 54. HGC 2, 140. Good Very Fine; clear, well centered, and of fine style, on a broad flan. Glossy dark green and red patina;. Obverse looks as though it may have been struck with a hexas die.
