Herakles advancing right, wearing lion skin, holding club and bow / Lion pouncing on stag collapsing to right; L'Z'B'L (in Aramaic) above; all within dotted square frame within shallow incuse square. Zapiti & Michaelidou 5-6. Tziambazis 17. BMC 15. Good Very Fine; struck from a worn obverse die, as is typical; uncommonly well centered; crisp and attractive reverse. Interesting coin, overstruck on an an Aeginitan stater with traces of undertype visible on obverse (see the turtle's head to right underneath Herakles). Fine example.
