SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Elagabalus, 218-222. Oktassarion (Bronze, 34 mm, 21.00 g, 5 h). ΑΥΤΟ ΚΑΙ ΜΑΡΚ ΑΝΤΩΝЄΙΝΟC CЄΒ Laureate head of Elagabalus to right. Rev. ΑΝΤΙΟΧЄΩΝ ΜΗ ΚΟ The Tyche of Antioch, turreted and veiled, seated left on rock, holding grain ears in her right hand; above; ram running left, head to right; below, river-god Orontes swimming left, looking back; in upper left field, crescent. McAlee 802b. An attractive example with beautiful earthen highlights. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
