KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. AE (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.82 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in western Asia Minor, circa 323-310. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ Bow in bow-case and club; below, torch; on bow-case, countermark: lion's head (?) within circular incuse. Price 2800. Cleaning scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
