KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.00 g, 1 h), Salamis, circa 300-295. Nike, blowing a trumpet and holding a stylis, alighting to left on a left-facing prow. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ Poseidon, nude but for a chlamys draped over his left arm, striding left, hurling trident from his upraised right hand; to left, monogram of Ep; to right, labrys. Newell 22. The reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
