ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.61 g, 1 h), Timostratos, Poses and Lach..., magistrates, 102/1. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE / TIMO-ΣΤΡΑ/TOΣ / ΠΟ/ΣΗΣ / ΛΑΧ Owl standing facing on amphora; to right, Dionysos standing left, holding mask in his right hand and thyrsos in his left; on amphora, E; in exergue, ΣΟ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 824d. Beautifully toned. Struck from a worn obverse die and with minor scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
